Natural Hair & Beauty Workshop - Focusing on Locs

The goal of the Natural Hair & Beauty Workshop is to spark youth’s interest in cosmetology as a future career. Throughout this workshop, scholars will learn the history and heritage of kinky/curly hair, different curl patterns, hair hygiene and proper sanitation, easy at-home styles, and haircare, as well as popular styles to service their friends/family in the community. The focus of this workshop will be on teaching scholars how to start and retwist locs.
